Leibinger selected to All-Region Team

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – Oregon State junior Caroline Leibinger has been selected to the 2006 All-Pac-10 Conference Women’s Rowing team, as announced Friday by Commissioner Tom Hansen.

"I’m really excited for Caroline to receive All-pac-10 recognition," said head coach Charlie Owen. "She did a great job from the beginning of the school year throughout the racing season setting a really good example with her training and consistency. Her talent in the stroke seat was a large contributor to our success this spring."

The honor for Leibinger (Neu-Ulm, Germany) comes on the heels of her selection to the College Rowing Coaches Association All-West Region team on Monday.

Leibinger rowed the stroke seat in the Varsity Eight in 2006, helping the Beavers to a seventh place finish at the Pac-10 Championships. She also set the pace for OSU to knock off then-No. 16 Boston University at the Windermere Classic in March.
